Youth Workers Mobility in Greece #1:
Successful Implementation of the International Exchange

EKO hosted, with great pleasure, a youth worker from Coordination CRH, our Belgian partner, in Athens in April 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 ECHOES program. This short-term international exchange was an opportunity for youth workers from both organizations to work together on youth-driven climate and social participation initiatives.

The mobility initiative aimed to enhance intercultural cooperation and to offer hands-on tools to youth workers to involve the youth more effectively in climate advocacy. The visitor was involved in EKO’s climate initiatives, shared best practices, and interacted with local agencies and organizations.

A milestone moment of the exchange was the visit to ANIMA – Hellenic Wildlife Care Association, with the participants learning about the rescue, care, and reintegration of wild animals into their natural environment. Under the guidance of ANIMA’s devoted staff, participants also had the exclusive chance to interact with animals currently in care.

This rewarding opportunity enriched insights, built new collaborations, and reinforced the bonds between the Greek and Belgian partners. EKO would like to express its sincere gratitude to ANIMA for its hospitality, to our partner CRH for its valuable contribution, and to our coordinating partner CERA for this exchange.
