Where Young Voices Meet Climate Action: ECHOES in Chaves

Inspira! organised its ECHOES dissemination event on 9 May 2026 in Chaves, bringing together 17 participants from young people, youth workers and the local community. Hosted in a conference room provided by the local municipality, the event opened a warm space to present the journey of ECHOES: from listening to young people’s needs, to developing tools, trainings and opportunities for climate participation. 

Participants were introduced to the project’s main results, including the Needs Assessment Report, the Best Practices collection, the CADPRO toolkit, and the online platforms created to keep youth climate voices connected beyond the project itself.

What made the event especially meaningful was the presence of young participants who had already taken part in the local training courses. They shared their own experiences, reflections and impressions, turning the event from a simple presentation into a living exchange between peers. Youth workers also joined the discussion, bringing their own challenges around youth participation, climate engagement and democratic processes. 

The informal coffee break became another moment of connection, where questions continued, contacts were exchanged and new ideas started to emerge. In this sense, the event was not only a closing moment for the project in Chaves, but also a small bridge towards future cooperation, local climate engagement and stronger youth-led action.
