Youth Workers Mobility / Greece #2:
Successful Implementation of the International Exchange

EKO welcomed a youth worker from our Dutch partner, Stichting yEUth, to Athens from April 21 to May 5, 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 ECHOES program. This short-term international exchange created an essential space for joint action on climate issues and the active participation of young people. The mobility was designed to reinforce intercultural partnership and equip youth workers with concrete tools to motivate and to involve young people in climate advocacy.

During her stay, the visitor was involved in EKO’s climate initiatives, shared local youth empowerment strategies, and established precious connections with local agencies and organizations.

Two field visits enriched the exchange:

● Hellenic Ornithological Society – where participants were introduced to the conservation efforts for birds and their habitat, civic participation, and the challenges of the work of the Society.

● “Socrates” Dog Shelter – where participants were informed about animal welfare activities and had the chance to walk dogs awaiting adoption.

EKO would like to express its warmest thanks to both organisations for hosting these field visits and for the knowledge they shared with us, to our partner Stichting yEUth for participating energetically, and to our coordinator CERA for bringing this enriching experience to fruition.
